DOLI’s draft emergency temporary standards
|The AGCVA is asking for input from our leaders and safety professionals. |
Governor Northam, via Executive Order 63, required the Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) and its Safety and Health Codes Board to draft emergency temporary standards / emergency regulations regarding COVID-19 workplace health and safety.
The purpose of these new regulations for employers is to “control, prevent, and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 to and among employees and employers.” DOLI’s draft emergency temporary standards / emergency regulations are now posted and can be found here: Draft Emergency Temporary Standard / Emergency Regulation
These draft regulations are subject to a 10-day public comment period leading up to the June 24 Safety and Health Codes Board meeting, where final regulations will be considered. We are asking our construction community to weigh in and submit comments regarding these proposed regulations and standards.
There will not be an opportunity for the public to present comments during the June 24, 2020 Electronic Emergency Meeting. So it is imperative that you submit your comments on the comment forum at Virginia Townhall Forum by June 22nd.
Thank you for your participation!
