Virginia BEST Program

Building Excellence in Safety, Health and Training

The Virginia BEST Program, which stands for Building Excellence in Safety, Health and Training, is designed to encourage and recognize AGCVA members who implement safety and health management systems to benefit construction workers.

The Department of Labor and Industry’s Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) program and the Associated General Contractors of Virginia (AGCVA) have established a strategic partnership entitled “Virginia BEST” to improve best practices, compliance efforts and accident prevention on construction worksites through recognizing the outstanding efforts of exemplary construction employers.

A formal signing ceremony of the strategic partnership occurred on October 13, 2016, which is pictured on the right.
